There are 4 options for the database :

§         Borland Intebase Server 6.02 (Open Source Edition – unlimited users)

§         Borland Interbase Server 6.0 or 7.0 (Commercial Edition)

§         Firebird for Linux (Interbase for Linux, Open Source)

 

We recommend Borland Interbase Server “Open Edition”, no licence costs.

 

 

DATA SECURITY - REDUNDANCY

 

§         Industry standard database security

§         Different access levels (roles)

§         128-bit encryption in all basic transactions

§         Logging of all user actions.

§         Additional data security through double transaction logging in “flat” files, instant notification on user errors.

§         All database operations are transaction based, no data loss on power failures

§         On-line backups (with Interbase)

            HD : 80 GB

 

Client Terminals : Minimum PII, 64MB RAM.

 

Receipt Printers : Any brand, should have windows drivers.

 

Reception : color or b&w cameras, color or b&w scanners  .
