EMRS project
The development of a Lunar oriented rover system was of great interest to us. Not only would this permit collaborating companies to further advance automation systems, but unhindered mobility and terrain adaptability was ideal for the wide use-cases of the EMRS project. HTR was tasked to provide the locomotion system for a 4-wheel platform, as well as do the initial testing. The final platform with the HTR wheels integrated on a chassis by GMV and a number of other collaborators can be seen in the pictures below.
Utilizing our expertise in the field of rover mobility, we were able to lightly adapt our patented wheel systems to the requirements of the project. Successfully doing so we designed a smaller platform to rigorously test the 4 wheels in various terrains before delivering them, making sure they were able to withstand any challenge brought to them.
